Over the Edge!

So Shayla has been fainting for almost 2 years now for some unknown random reason she just drops.  We can't seem to attach it to any triggers of any kind.  As of late, the fainting episodes, which she actually does not lose consciousness in the middle of, have turned into seizures.  These "episodes" last about 2-5 minutes and she doesn't lose full consciousness either.  The 12 doctors that we have seen, cardiologists, neurologists, pulmonologists, etc..., have done study after study and found that she is totally normal.   Hmmmmmmmmm.  Well, after the last normal EEG, the 3rd one, they told us to go and see a psychologist for stress.  (The same diagnosis Sarah, my sister got eight years ago.  Well, we aren't above doing that, it's just that it seems that it's a long shot since Shayla is my most happy-go-lucky child of the seven.)  She doesn't really get stressed much unless you light a fire under her.  Now we are left with finding a great new doc, which we have done and are going to see her in a couple of weeks.  YAY!

I was also told that the Mayo clinic takes rare cases that can't be solved.  Hmmmm.   Maybe we ought to try that long shot.  :)  Just saying, you never know.........

On a different note, she broke her big toe yesterday coming down a flight of stairs holding a baby.  The baby was saved, but her toe is badly cracked, so off to an orthopedic foot doc we go.  I truly love visiting doctors and clinics and therapists.  Been to a lot lately.  Just one or two more may put me over the edge!!!!!

"Where's MOM", asks Sawyer, Shay and Sam!
"I'm over the edge," I yell up to them.
